REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN AND ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ON JANUARY 15, 2012 AT 12:01AM PST THROUGH MARCH 31, 2012 AT 12:00 AM PST.
Educators/Sponsorship/Organization Leaders: Involvement in the challenge is welcomed and there is no limit to the amount of student created videos that you can represent. You may over see as many groups as you like, however, one (1) educator SWAG will be distributed per individual.
Assign an Executive Producer to your Project: Remember, this is an important position! The Executive Producer is the key motivator for your project – the one who’s going to spear-head the NO BULL campaign within your school. He or she will be the key person in charge for meeting deadlines and making sure your documentary follows the qualifications that are spelled out on the official NO BULL Challenge rules available at www.nobullchallenge.org/home-2/download-contest-rules
If your documentary is selected as one of the 15 finalists, the Executive Producer will receive the benefits and prizes from the NO BULL Challenge. But not to worry, if you are selected as one of the finalists, your entire team will receive complementary tickets to the Red Carpet Awards Event in San Francisco (max 10).
Create an Anti-Cyberbullying Movement: Create a NO BULL movement in your school, and make it real! By NO BULL, we mean using technology to bully others. We’re looking for you to create a grassroots movement from the ground up, because we’re tired of bullies taking advantage of others!
Document your Video/Short Film: Create a 2-5 minute (we will allow for a 5 second margin of error) documentary style short film (including credits) that documents the NO BULL movement! You have complete creative freedom, as long as you work within the Challenge’s official guidelines and you follow your school’s rules.
Upload your Documentary: After you’ve shot and edited your 2-5 minute (we will allow for a 5 second margin of error) documentary style short film, you will upload it to the Challenge website, by midnight PST on March 31, 2012 to be eligible to win in the 2012 Challenge year. During the upload process, you’ll be required to formally register and have the challenge’s forms signed by a parent or guardian. Students from all over the country, teachers and a panel of experts will begin voting to help select the top 15 videos that tell the best stories about the elimination of cyberbullying.
Rally for Votes: Starting on April 1st, get your entire student body, parents, teachers and counselors, your youth organization leaders and community involved in the voting process! The selection of the 15 finalists will be up to the public along with our panel of judges, so it’s important to get everyone you know to vote.
Challenge Rules and Criteria: The NO BULL Challenge rules and criteria for qualified short film/documentary submissions are available at www.nobullchallenge.org/home-2/download-contest-rules
When it comes to they way technology is used, we’re providing a national platform and giving the power to America’s youth to create meaningful change. Violence prevention, increasing the problem solving skills of our youth, and raising awareness about cyberbullying and the impact it can have on all involved are other key goals for the campaign and its partners.
